Velqestra s. r. o., with registered office at Pribinova 4195/25, 811 09 Bratislava, Slovakia, Company ID 55 421 706 ("Velqestra" or "we"), is the data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data. This document describes what data we process, for what purposes and what rights you have as a data subject.
1. Data we process
We process your name, surname, email address, phone number, information about your interest in investing, technical data (IP address, device type, cookie data) and, where investing, also identification and financial data needed to comply with AML obligations.
2. Purposes of processing
We process the data to provide information about upcoming projects, manage the investor account, perform contractual and statutory duties (AML/CFT), conduct direct marketing, improve our services and ensure platform security.
3. Legal bases
Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)), in particular under Act No. 297/2008 Coll., and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) when improving the platform.
4. Retention period
We keep the data for the duration of the contractual relationship and afterwards for the period required by law (in particular 10 years under the AML Act). Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent, no longer than 5 years from your last interaction.
5. Recipients of data
We may share data with cloud and IT service providers, KYC/AML verification providers, legal and tax advisors, auditors and public authorities. All processors are bound by confidentiality and provide an adequate level of protection.
6. Transfers outside the EU
We primarily process data within the European Economic Area. Any transfer outside the EU is carried out only on the basis of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or under an adequacy decision.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. We respond to requests within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.
